PhD student appears in court charged with prostitute murders
Stephen Griffiths, a PhD student researching Jack the Ripper, has arrived at court this morning charged with the murders of three prostitutes in Bradford.
Link to this video The 40-year-old is appearing at Bradford Magistrates' Court having been charged with the killing of Suzanne Blamires, Susan Rushworth and Shelley Armitage within the city's red light district in the past 11 months.
Miss Blamires, 36, was executed with a crossbow and "severely dismembered" before some of her remains were dumped in a river.
英国：売春婦殺害で大学院生逮捕 切り裂きジャック研究者
【欧州総局】英中部ブラッドフォードの検察当局は２７日までに、売春婦３人を殺害した容疑で、大学院生、スティーブン・グリフィス容疑者（４０）を逮捕、殺人罪で起訴した。被告は地元の大学院で１９世紀のロンドンで起きた売春婦連続殺人犯「切り裂きジャック」を研究していたとされ、注目を集めている。英メディアによると、被告は３１歳、３６歳、４３歳の売春婦を相次いで殺害した容疑に問われている。自宅付近の監視カメラで３６歳の売春婦ともみ合っている姿がとらえられ、被告が女性を殴り倒し、ボーガンで頭を撃つ様子が映っていたという。
